DEC CAMP (Summer Camp) is looking for Head Counselor. Head Counselor is responsible for overseeing the welfare of all students at all times and through delivering a fun, exciting and well-balanced activity programme. To both lead and support all counselors in ensuring students receive ample care and supervision whilst maintaining discipline throughout the course. Please write to i.subotina@dec.ua
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
• Deliver a fun and safe program to campers.
• Ensure that counselors and campers know and follow safety and educational procedures during camp programs.
• Assist in the management and care of the physical facilities and equipment in all program and residential areas.
• Supervise and evaluate Counselors to plan and implement all facets of camp program activities and to provide appropriate supervision of campers at all times
• Support and guide counselors and campers in the daily camp life
• Evaluate the outcomes of the activity program on a regular basis.
Period of work: 15.06.2014 - 28.06.2014; 30.06.2014 - 13.07.2014; 16.07.2014 - 29.07.2014; 31.07.2014 - 13.08.2014
Location: Vyzhnitsya Chernivtsi region
Hours: 48-hour working week over 6 days, at least 1 full day off per week. On duty hours: 7am—11pm with breaks

Position requirements
• Educated to a degree level PLUS previous experience of working in an International Summer Camp in Ukraine or abroad in a similar or related role
• Experience in the development and delivery of programs and activities for similar population.
• Excellent organizational skills – you will be required to coordinate excursions/ activities, as well as manage your staff and adapt to an ever-changing environment.
• Strong time management skills
• Excellent communication skills and team mentality
• Ability to work well under pressure in an international environment and adapt efficiently to a different culture
• Be flexible and have a sense of humor
• Desirable: First Aid Certificate/Life Guard Certificate
